How to make you money stay?

From now on, I would like to share with you tips on how to make profit from your own money. It isn't easy, but it's doable. FYI, I've been practicing this about 5-7 years and the outcome was awesome. As for now, I managed to accumulate about RM5K+ just for doing this. Hey, I haven't tell you what is this all about, right? Let's take an example & we'll derive it from there. A good example should be this; I'm planning to go for vacation, Langkawi for instance. Ok, I'll set for Langkawi for 3D/2N with my family. Roughly I'll know where it is and can do some budgetting for that. After a thorough consideration & planning, the budget breakdown will be as below: 1. Fuel (From Mlk - Langkawi) Return (850km X 2 X 0.20c) = RM340 2. Tolls (From Mlk - Langkawi) Return (RM80 X 2) = RM160 3. Ferry (2 Adults + 1 Children) Retiurn (RM18 X 2 X 2 + RM9 X 2 X 2) = RM108 4. Taxi (Jetty - Hotel) (RM20 X 2) = RM40 5. Hotel (2 Nights - RM150 X 2) = RM300 6. Food ...

Work while others not !!

What else should I say here.. I have to come for work while others continue their holiday till new year. I supposed to extend my leave 13 days straight but hey, here I am.. Running skeleton with some foreigners doing some stuff preparing for new year.. Suddenly I realized that I no longer interested in this job. Multitasking, solve almost everything within my power while others enjoy their day. I agreed it is well-paid job but I insist to do something I loved most, which till now I haven't got it yet. Some might say that I need to jump-start my career again but as for now I'm not willing to sacrifice my current pay !!!. Hell no. Just sad thinking I'm wasting my day just for money which only paid once a month. That also sometimes less than what I supposed to get.. I do have realized we have commitment in our life but how about our own satisfaction? Jobs satisfaction? In reality, we here are forced to do something that we not really like to do it for the sake of pay check. Th...

Relaxing on the top

After months of booking & planning, the time has arrived. My vacation leave granted last minutes. Boss worried if nobody around since it will be extension of Deepavali holiday. I promised my little daughter earlier. Her 3rd times to be there. The journey aren't that pretty. Caught migrain on the way. Throw-up on the middle of the way. My beloved dear have to take over even this was her first time drive to the top. Fairly easy to park & unload the bags. The check-in process was great. I mean great as I discovered my self that they introduce self-check-in using your mykad over a kiosk. I think they should inform us earlier, so that I don't have to queue up unnecessary. In addition to my migrain, my tiredness immediately relief once get my key card. So refreshing, able to sleep for awhile before dinner time. Booked for buffet dinner which I calculated value for money. However have it at level 3 doesn't really interesting specially when we came along with long queues. M...

Do we realize?

I'm not a fan of any politic figures, nor politic ideas etc. As tax-paying citizen, I do however keep my eye on what happening in our country lately. Event after event happened here without much people ever realize what's the impact it might cause us, makcik, pak mat, thambi, ah seng, etc. Not going to list down cronology but enough to mention how it effect me. 1. Fuel Hike - people now preparing to face the fact that our government unable to protect us anymore. They interest on how to get oil-tax from petronas rather that care about what malaysian going to face. 2. Toll Hike - Government on care about it agreement with the shareholder (Khazanah too) rather than care about tax-paying citizen. I rather use RM40B money from subsidising petrol to buy PLUS from it share holder & make the highway free for all. Let people pay Rm2.90/litre of petrol. That's slightly fair to all even we are oil producing nation. Every citizen should entitle for royalty of every single barrel pu...

I'm underpaid..

Constantly I think I'm underpaid.. Seeing people around me, with nice and flashy car, yesterday-launch-phone on their hand, high-maintenance girl friend (excuse me) shopping with platinum card. That's for single or couple. Family with brand new MPV having vacation at all-suites apartment or 3-bedroom service apartment during school holiday at Port Dickson, eating all they can either at BBQ restaurant or seafood restaurant. You know how much it cost a family to spend weekend during school holiday there.. More that an average people earn for 2 weeks!! It has been 2 years since my international passport expired. Free passport paid by my previous company sent me to LA to attend 2 weeks training in 2001. Managed to pay visit to Pharoah during Qatar Airways' 50% off ticket promotion. How nice having my face blowed by Mediterranian Sea's wind from Alexandria. 2003 was my year visiting Bangkok by airasia RM49.90 return. Planned for 6 months ahead to get that price !! Cheap, if...

Do you overspend?

So often we'll spend more than what we made. In US, 50% of it's citizen spend 10% more than what written in their paycheck every month.. How about us in Malaysia? So far, haven't see any survey or anaysis been shown to beat the number.. Roughly I can make a guest or estimation from my point of view.. I saw people rushing into one of newly opened hypermarket at Batu Berendam, Malacca on 01/01/07.. Buying like there is no other day with that rock-bottom crazy price.. Nevertheless, people buying without cares whether they really need it or just because it is cheap.. None of those I saw in front of me having a total less than RM100 per trolley.. Well, some would say they just got their bonuses.. they deserves some extra money to throw away.. good for them, good for the business too.. okey.. Let's take a step back.. most of us have a fixed amount of paycheck every month. We spend accordingly even most of the time we exceed that amount. We used our future money to buy now (in...
